Concept: TRAIT_d’union represents the point of connection between performative gesture and painting, between shared experience and transformed matter. The work, composed of two Japanese tatami mats covered with cotton canvas and hand-painted in the studio, preserves the tangible traces of the performance FIAT_trait d’union, which forms an integral part.

The entire surface, conceived as a walkable and meditative space, invites an active dialogue between body and spirit, transforming the artistic gesture into an experience of inner presence and unity. The circular form, which emerged during the performance FIAT_trait d’union, becomes a symbol of fragmentation and recomposition, manifesting a principle of unity and irreversible continuity — like the circle itself, which has always been its emblem.lf, which has always been its emblem.
