ART OF THE SPIRIT

The spiritual dimension of art as a direct experience of consciousness

-myalurgoartist

“Would not the future artist be he who expressed through an eternal silence

an immense painting possessing no dimension?”  Yves Klein

ART OF THE SPIRIT emerges when the human being operates from a state of profound integration between the physical, emotional, mental, and subtle dimensions. In this condition, creation is no longer a mere expression of the ego nor a formal product, but manifests itself as a field of vigilant and receptive presence.

Mya Lurgo’s artistic research has developed over more than thirty years through painting, Light Art, Land Art, Digital Art, video, installations, and performative practices. Moving through the four phases of acentrism and the investigation of the Immaterial inspired by Yves Klein, this path progressively arrives at ART OF THE SPIRIT: a contemporary practice that restores to the artwork an operative function upon consciousness.

Within this perspective, the spiritual dimension is neither an iconographic theme nor a symbolic representation, but a direct experience: the capacity to observe thought without identifying with it. When personality ceases to occupy the entire field of identity, an inner homeostasis emerges. Consolidating one’s being does not mean rigidifying it, but rendering it fluid and permeable; within this state of listening, intuitions and visions arise that are not produced by linear reasoning, but move through it.

The artwork thus becomes a threshold. It is not limited to being observed, but opens a space in which a connection is activated between artist, creation, and viewer. It is not only a matter of understanding, but of entering: crossing form as a field of resonance and potential inner transformation.
