Concept: Sowilo is the rune of the Sun. Its reconstructed Proto-Germanic name, sōwilō, means “Sun”. In the rune poems, the Sun is described as the light of the world, a shining ray capable of melting ice, and a source of hope and guidance for those crossing the sea. Its original meaning is therefore connected with the luminous, life-giving force that dispels darkness and reveals a direction. From this image arise its later symbolic associations with energy, clarity, victory and success.

In the ART OF THE SPIRIT, success does not coincide with the affirmation of the ego or with external recognition, but with the fulfilment of alignment: the soul recognises SPIRIT as its inner Sun and allows itself to be guided by its light.

When the physical, emotional, mental and superconscious dimensions align, action becomes clearer and acquires coherence, meaning and direction; everyday life thus becomes conscious co-creation. Sowilo signifies a form of success that is not attained externally and does not belong to the worldly realm: it lies in recognising oneself as an active and conscious part of a boundless radiance. In that light and clarity, everything regains meaning.
