Concept: FIAT_blooming is an installation born from FIAT_trait d’union, a participatory performance held on 10 May 2025 at Nellimya Arthouse in Switzerland. Fiat means “let it be done”: a word expressing the will to create, which here becomes gesture, breath and matter.

During the performance, participants were invited to speak a single word, as though it were the only word they would utter in an entire lifetime. The drawings were breathed into and torn, giving rise to signed and dated fragments. Seven were entrusted to participants; those kept by the artist unfold into FIAT_blooming.

The sculpture’s material is imbued with that shared act. Its flowering form gathers what has been dispersed without putting it back together: it holds a passage between matter and consciousness. To entrust part of the work to others is to take responsibility for making more soul. More consciousness. More life.
