Acentric Phase I

The Acentric Phase I stems from scraped painting, the grattage: an inner and outer work that aims at clarity through the gestural effort of grinding and subtracting pictorial matter.
In this first phase, which began in 1995, I created several paintings, but only two series of works emerged, totalling 24 pieces: the Circus/Circumstances and the Vertical Alleyways.

The Circus/Circumstances tell of life paths that chase each other or return to teach lessons.

The Vertical Alleyways are all the aids, material and immaterial, that lift from the short circuit to promote a new stage of evolution.
