I began creating light-based works after scraping back the surfaces of numerous paintings and burning several works. That psychophysical tension, both destructive and regenerative, opened a passage through pictorial matter, allowing me to recognise Light not merely as an expressive medium, but as a presence. Within my research, Light is a supersensible and radiant reality: a principle of connection between all things and all people, expanded consciousness, conscious presence, illuminAction. The latter does not coincide with the simple on/off mechanism of the artwork, but becomes the daily practice of intuitive action, in attunement with Solar Energies, understood as a radiating force that withholds nothing, but gives.
Attuning oneself to them, in order to glimpse light between the lines of matter, means to com-prehend—to grasp and carry with oneself—the events of life, to clarify and shed light upon them, opening oneself to another interpretation, to a different vision of life itself.
