Creativity is an innate talent and a tangible measure of our inner freedom.
The freer one is, the more one can range and go beyond the repetitiveness of sign and meaning.
This means creating beyond the conscious and unconscious repetitiveness of signs and meaning. Working as an artist presupposes the effort to go beyond oneself, conventions, beliefs in practice, and inner and outer limits.
This daily commitment, which I call “a-centre-ism” / acentrism, progressively removes the egoic circumference to allow for copious intuitive flow well beyond our mental reach.
It is therefore not just a question of producing works, but of preparing, or rather, preparing oneself* to live with an open and curious spirit, dedicated to wonder, amazement… practising the art of looking with “new eyes”: without preconceptions and anticipating the past. I would summarise the concept in two words: “being a vessel” and that “holy Grail”, which unifies ordinary matter with the extraordinary: the immaterial, the spiritual, and the unknown.
*This modus operandi, although not easy to implement, is fundamental not only for art but for living a fuller life, experimenting with new contexts, outside the comfort zone, and expressing oneself more in-depth. It also allows us to grow, or instead, to become a soul, implementing awareness of ourselves… in practice, those who open themselves to every level of their existence – physical/etheric, astral, mental, causal – can be IN-formed beyond the intrinsic limits of one’s knowledge.
Of course, if an artist produces paintings with sunflowers and sells them, you don’t change a winning team. Hahaha, but art, when you experience it, is not limited to the interests of the system. Creating works “in parallel” must be experienced, even if the artist is recognised in a specific style and context. This fixation of an artist’s expressive parameters is an incalculable damage to humanity’s heritage.
In conclusion, creativity is truly a profound link with our freedom and should be experienced as a courageous embrace of difference, uncertainty, and the unknown. And in any case, Ladies & Gentlemen, if not the Artists, who can still afford it?
Every creative act is a declaration of independence, a testament to our ability to think and act freely. Liberté, humanité, creativité!!!
