Concept: In mathematics, one is the first positive integer and the principle of unity: it allows something to be recognised as a whole before it is compared with multiplicity.

In Neopythagorean philosophical traditions, the Monad represents the unitary principle from which multiplicity proceeds. It is not simply one thing among others, but that which allows each thing to manifest as a unity.

“Everything is One, emanating from No One.”

No One does not signify absence, but a source that cannot be confined within an identity, a figure or a name. From Zero, the whole of existence in potential, One emerges as the first determination: the original affirmation of presence.

One is the great White Flame: a single light containing the entire spectrum of colours in a latent state. The seven colours represent its symbolic articulation—the passage from unity to multiplicity without the source itself being divided.

In the ART OF THE SPIRIT, One is a state of coherence in which the physical, emotional, mental and superconscious dimensions are attuned without losing their individual qualities. Unity is not uniformity: it does not erase differences, but recognises them as expressions of the same Life.
