Concept: «The Still Point rages on, undisturbed.»

The Still Point does not represent inertia, but the stable principle around which every transformation unfolds. Its «raging on» expresses the irrepressible action of Life, which operates within every form without losing its centre or its intrinsic purpose.

We are cells of this Life, yet we retain the capacity to choose, consent or resist. Life does not deprive us of freedom: it moves through us while experience gradually leads consciousness to recognise as its own the same purpose that sustains the Whole.

In the ART OF THE SPIRIT, this convergence is not obedience to an external will, but an inner recognition. Sooner or later, we freely choose the purpose of Life because we discover that it coincides with our intrinsic Good. The purpose of the cell and that of the living organism then come into accord: individuality is not erased, but consciously participates in the Life of which it is an expression.
