Technique: 2 paintings on triangular canvas, base 70 cm, mixed media, painted branch, square nest, prism, video.

Dimensions: the work lends itself to various compositions, with or without video projection—minimum height: 1.30 cm (without video).

Concept: the work My Sky consists of two painted canvases, a branch, a nest, a prism and a video. One canvas is dedicated to the right hemisphere, and the other to the left. 

The branch supports the square-shaped nest*. The nest contains a prism. 

The vertex of the triangular canvas is in line with the vertex of the prism, creating an ideal tension and dialogue between the macrocosm, which towers above us, and the microcosm of our individual lives.

The video, integrated into the work, proposes the Kabbalistic structure of the Tree of Life, together with the symbolic and meticulous construction 

of the nest. The wonder of Life… requires construction and commitment.

* Fun fact: the artist Mya Lurgo has been collecting nests for years, and many people, knowing this, send them to her or leave them directly

in her mailbox 🙂
