Concept: «A love-shaped hole. A void that feeds itself without ever being sated. To satisfy one’s hunger… a way out on a full stomach.»

In the final sentence, the letters «Sf» in the Italian word sfamarsi — to satisfy one’s hunger — are crossed out with an X, revealing amarsi — to love oneself.

This cancellation produces both a visual and semantic transformation: the way out was already inscribed within the hunger. The void cannot be filled by continuing to feed it with reassurance, expectations and attention received from outside. Loving oneself interrupts this endless consumption and offers authentic nourishment.

In the ART OF THE SPIRIT, loving oneself does not mean withdrawing into narcissistic self-sufficiency, but recognising and receiving the presence of Life within. When the individual no longer asks another person to fill an inner absence, relationship is freed from need and can become encounter, exchange and participation.

The way out is therefore amarsi — loving oneself: the inner nourishment that transforms emptiness into openness and allows us to encounter others without consuming them.
