Unique piece
Year: 2004
Series: Light Art, fixed glass slide
Technique: the artwork is meticulously crafted from glass, glues, paints, and various inserts. The core visual element is realized on a tiny glass disc which, through the application of specific glues and reagents, becomes an integral component of the projection mechanism. A magnifying glass is also incorporated into the setup.
Phase: II Acentrism
Dimensions:the projected image offers a variable size, adjustable up to a maximum diameter of 5 meters. It is suitable for projection onto either a wall or a ceiling.
Concept:the central imagery revolves around “Blue Eyes,” with pupils depicted as nests, containers of infinity, and nostalgia. The projected image’s focus—whether on its background or its surface details—is designed to depend entirely on the observer’s perception, inviting personal interpretation. The magnifying glass further influences this interaction by allowing for the adjustment of the projected image’s scale.
