Creating in nature and with nature became an integral part of my research after I moved to the Malcantone region in Canton Ticino. This territory, crossed by woodlands and both well-trodden and lesser-known paths, gave rise to the idea of a network of artistic itineraries connecting Upper, Middle and Lower Malcantone.
From this vision arose the non-profit cultural association Aranno LandArt, now evolving into ALA LandArt Network. The project is still ongoing and develops through collaboration with municipalities, forestry authorities, and public and private partners. Working en plein air means entering into direct relationship with the matter, rhythms and transformations of the landscape. It is a practice that generates wellbeing and a profound attunement to life, and has now become inseparable from my artistic research.
