IN_ATELIER

IN_ATELIER is a physical space, my studio, and a virtual space: this page, on which I publish previews of works in progress. Live activities and in-person workshops are also planned.

For insiders, IN_ATELIER can be a valuable observatory for catching a glimpse of my creative processes and establishing collaborations with me.

#workinprogress

For some months now, I have been working on the ‘horizon’, understood as the ‘visible spectrum’ or the limit of our visible spectrum.

I am experimenting and studying black light.

I like to create on several levels simultaneously: drawing, painting, wandering in the thimble ether, then moving into the concreteness of the forest and tasting other energies.

Writing and meditating are integral to my research. Preparing myself for intuition and removing desire and haste is to create space.

Pachamama

Year: 2024

Technique: painting on wood with integrated digital projection

Dimensions: 150 cm x 70 cm painting and variable projection

Intent: The work consists of a painting on wood and an integrated digital projection. PACHAMAMA is an installation dedicated to the spirit of Mother Earth; she gives impetus to volcanoes and makes roses bloom, one petal at a time.

Infinite wing

Year: 2024

Technique: wood, carving, coating with birch bark, pigments and resins

Dimensions: 3 m. The final size depends on the installation on the tree.

Intent: this LandArt work is entitled INFINITE WING.

The second wing is the bent branches of the tree on which the installation will be made.

An elaborate covering of birch bark recovered from the forests of Malcantone, Switzerland, is planned.

Between the cracks, coloured pigment mixed with resin will be placed.

It is a work born of the desire to explore new horizons, other natures or states of being.

Black Sun

Year: 2024

Technique: black pigment, white neon light

Dimension: 60 cm

Intent: the work of light art Black Sun is inspired by Goethe’s phrase:

‘Where there is much light, the shadow is blackest’.

Delving into one’s darkness to find the place-not-place where the unmanifest Light is everlasting… opens us up to new understandings and more loving attitudes.

Not out of renewed goodness, but because the substance of which we are made, at some existential level, is the same, preferences lose meaning.
